Unlike conventional project controls methodologies that use excessive time buffers to absorb risk of schedule delay, the Last Responsible Moment (LRM) scheduling methodology contributes to Cycle Time reduction, and therefore, reduction in WIP (refer to Little’s Law), through the elimination of unnecessary time buffers across the delivery process.
